Outdoor parks to reopen and big wheel to return from next week

Laura Kearns 25th Jun, 2020

OUTDOOR play areas are reopening across Stratford and the big wheel is returning.

On Saturday (July 4) outdoor play areas and gyms across the district will reopen.

At the Recreation Ground the skate park will also open but the sand pit and paddling pool will remain closed.

And on the same day the big wheel will also reopen. Construction is set to begin early next week.

A Stratford District Council spokeswoman said: Our open spaces will play a significant part in the early stages of the town and district’s return to something approaching normal life.

“To support this the council is actively exploring other open air uses for residents and visitors alike that will offer coronavirus-safe opportunities to enjoy Stratford and support our local recovery.”
