Not long until Stratford's Victorian Christmas Market

Stratford Editorial 29th Nov, 2022   0

CHARLES Dickens would certainly feel at home at Stratford’s Victorian Christmas market.

The festive extravaganza – named the country’s best large speciality market – boasts more than 300 stalls packed with food, mulled wine and cider. While all the traders will be in full Victorian dress.

The event takes place across the town centre for four days starting on Thursday December 8 and will include a fun fair complete with Victorian carousel.

As well as stalls selling food and drink, there will be plenty of Christmas shopping opportunities with jewellery, perfume, clothing and accessories all on sale.

As well as this, there will be live music, choirs, a stage with compere, stilt walkers, chimney sweeps and strollers.

And youngsters will be able to meet Father Christmas, his reindeer, Frosty the snowman and other characters.

The Victorian Market first opened in Stratford in 2017 and has been increasing in size ever since.

The event is free to enter.

Market opening times are Thursday December 8 , Friday December 9 and Saturday December 10 from 10am to 8pm and Sunday December 11 from 10am to 5pm.
