New look library soon to be unveiled

Stratford Editorial 15th Jun, 2017   0

THE NEW look Stratford Library will open on July 12.

The newly refurbished Henley Street library will leave its temporary home at Stratford ArtsHouse where it has been since January on June 24.

The revamped library will also house the registration service, currently at Winton House on Church Street.

And a new ceremony room will unlock a historical part of the building, and is set to host weddings, as well as library events.

Library spokeswoman Coun Kam Kaur, said: “The historic building starts a new chapter as Stratford’s registration service moves to join the library at the site.

“As well as providing an excellent new library facility and an historic setting for weddings, the move also allows Warwickshire County Council to deliver better value for money with the two services operating from one building.”

The library will also have longer opening hours – from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 3pm on Saturday.
