PASSENGERS are set to benefit from at £1.3million investment in new buses by Stagecoach.

Eight state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly buses featuring wi-fi and USB charging points will be mainly used on the Unibus route between Leamington and Warwick University, and the X18 linking Evesham, Bidford, Stratford, Wellesbourne, Warwick, Leamington and Coventry.

Steve Burd, managing director for Stagecoach Midlands, said “We are delighted to introduce this new fleet of buses onto some of our most popular routes and I’m sure they will be well received – particularly the free Wi-Fi and USB charging points.”

The Unibus route has up to 12 buses an hour and carries around 1.8 million students each year.
