More green cash up for grabs in Stratford district

MORE cash is available for green projects in the district.

Stratford District Council introduced The Community Climate and Nature Fund in November 2023 and it has since funded a multitude of climate and biodiversity initiatives. Funded projects include the installation of solar panels and air source heat pumps, to pond restoration and flood prevention projects.

Round three of the CCNF opened in May and will stay open until April 2026. Projects to be considered at the next appraisal date of January 14 should be submitted by January 12.

The latest assessment period ended on October 22. Projects to receive funding include solar panels at Welford Bowls Club, tree planting at Hoppers Lane Wood and air source hear pumps at Henley Memorial Hall and Kineton Village Hall.




SDC leader Coun Susan Juned said: “A big thank you to all the organisations and residents for their hard work and dedication in delivering these projects to address climate change and improve nature.”
