Mocktails celebrate the arrival of Wendy and Peter Pan at the RSC

A RANGE of non-alcoholic mocktails have been specially designed for children at the RSC’s restaurant in Stratord.

They have been created to celebrate the arrival of this year’s Christmas show Wendy & Peter Pan which opens on Tuesday (November 17).

The mocktails include the ‘Tinkertini’ based on Peter Pan’s mischievous fairy sidekick Tink. The pink drink is a mix of raspberry sherbet, apple juice and comes complete with edible glitter stars.

A pirate style ‘Dastardly Daiquiri’ has been inspired by the character of Hook. It contains edible buried treasure in the bottom of the glass, as well as floating candy shaped skull and cross bones.

And the ‘Neverland Sunrise’ is a new take on the traditional adult cocktail which children can enjoy as a layered fruit juice drink and feel as Peter Pan does while in Neverland – grown up.

The RSC also offers a range of Shakespeare inspired adult cocktails. Past offerings include the Bloody Tamora, based on the gory tragedy Titus Andronicus, and the Kiss Me Kate cocktail inspired by Katherina The Taming of the Shrew.

The Rooftop Restaurant Bar regularly hosts Cocktail Masterclasses which take adults through the cocktail making process, as well as teach them how to mix the perfect drink. Sessions cost £12 and include two free drinks.

Visit www.rsc-rooftop-restaurant.co.uk for further details. Visit www.rsc.org.uk for tickets and further details about Wendy & Peter Pan which runs until the end of January.
