RETIREES in Stratford gave a warm welcome to mayor Jason Fojtik when he recently joined them to celebrate to celebrate the opening of Romeo Place.
Coun Fojtik cut the ribbon at McCarthy Stone’s new Retirement Living development on Alcester Road.
Guests spent time chatting and enjoying music from saxophonist Thomas Hinx over a glass of fizz and nibbles, before taking a guided tour of the superb facilities within the development.
Coun Fojtik said: “It was wonderful to meet with all the new homeowners and their guests, and an absolute joy to be a part of the celebrations here in Stratford.”
Kirsty Payne, sales director at McCarthy Stone, added: “The opening was a fantastic occasion and our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
On behalf of the team and our homeowners, we’d like to say a huge thank you to the mayor for joining us and making it such a memorable occasion.
“We were also delighted to welcome back children from nearby Stratford-upon-Avon Primary school. The reception class had previously visited to lay bricks and watch the cranes at work, and were excited to see the finished homes – enjoying exploring the gardens and the views from the balconies.
“Romeo Place provides a unique brand of retirement living in the local area with independence and community at its heart. With a wealth of social activity on offer and a friendly management team on-hand, homeowners and their families can enjoy peace of mind that everything is taken care of, and help is nearby.”
