A KNIFE was found hidden in the roof lining of a car after a passenger made a bid to run from police.
Officers who were out on a burglary patrol on Thursday (December 8) stopped the Ford Focus on Camden Road in Shipston.
But while the driver was being questioned, the passenger made a bid to escape by running towards Pittaway Avenue.
Police caught the man, who is from the Essex area and has a recent burglary conviction along with previously being arrested a number of times.
Officers seized the car and knife, but enquiries are still ongoing to locate the driver who gave a false name.
