Man could not be saved in fatal Alcester crash

A MAN has died after a road accident in Alcester this morning.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 7.30am to the junction of Coughton Lane and Alcester Heath after a car left the road and hit a tree.

The driver was being given CPR by bystanders and fire crew when medics arrived.

The man was given advanced life support by ambulance staff but, despite their efforts, he was confirmed dead a short time later.
