Man arrested on suspicion of murder following assault at Temple Grafton pub

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder following an assault at a pub in Temple Grafton at the weekend.

The 29-year-old, from Gloucestershire, was arrested on Tuesday (November 29) and is currently in police custody.

The arrest is in connection with the death of 31-year-old William ‘Billy’ Carney, who died in hospital following an assault at the Blue Boar Inn pub last Thursday (November 24).

Investigations are ongoing and officers would continue to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have any information to make contact.




Anyone with information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 300 of 24 November 2022. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
