LOVE will be in the air at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust this Valentine’s Day.
Sweethearts can take a stroll through Hall’s Croft’s walled garden and add their Valentine’s message to the tree of love in the parlour from February 7 to 14.
And resident acting troupe Shakespeare Aloud! is preparing to woo lovebirds at Shakespeare’s Birthplace with a performance of Romeo and Juliet, while at Anne Hathaway’s cottage couples can follow the riddles and post their message in a ‘love post box’. The most romantic messages will be posted on Twitter and displayed in the cottage’s visitor centre.
And during half-term, families can take part in a range of activities including grizzly tales of Shakespeare’s doctor son-in-law John and of Jacobean medicine, a shadow puppet show, a sculpture trail at New Place and Tudor music lessons.
