KES students Oxbridge bound

OXBRIDGE is the next stop for 16 students from Stratford’s King Edward VI School.

They all received offers from the world-famous universities of Oxford and Cambridge following this year’s application process.

The University of Cambridge has offered places to Matthew Evans (Mathematics, Churchill),

Yavuz Ferhatosmanoglu (Computer Science, Churchill), Isabella Fitches (Modern and




Medieval Languages, Murray Edwards), Cameron Kirk (Medicine, Queens’), Juliet Knight

(Law, Trinity), Max Silin (Mathematics with Physics, Pembroke), Cameron Thomas


(Economics, Girton).

The University of Oxford has offered places to Freya Alymore (Geography, Keble), George

Hillman (Materials Science, St Catherine’s), Jojo Hynes (Classics 1, St John’s), Alice

Kerridge (Philosophy, Politics and Economics, Keble), Felix Kerrison-Adams (Music,

Christ Church), William Morris (Mathematics, Keble), Jacob Oxtoby (Earth Sciences, St

Anne’s), Anastacia Wright (Materials Science, St Edmund’s Hall), Tara Wynne-Edwards

(Philosophy, Politics and Economics, Christ Church).

KES Headmaster Bennet Carr, said: “Our congratulations go to the 16 students who have

secured Oxford and Cambridge offers this year but also to all those who took up the unique

and daunting challenge represented by the Oxbridge application process.

“They have demonstrated the attributes that will make them an asset at any leading university. I am sure that all applicants would wish to join me in thanking the academic staff who have supported them so well in preparing their applications.”
