Getting into the groove as Great Alne Fest makes a return

Stratford Editorial 18th May, 2022   0

GREAT Alne is tuning up for the return of its family-friendly mini music festival next month.

Alne Fest will make a welcome return on Saturday June 18, bringing summer vibes to the grounds of Great Alne Primary School with a line-up of top local musical talent, plus food, drink and plenty of festival fun and games for the whole community.

Alne Fest is open to all, organised by the Friends of Great Alne Primary to fund-raise for the school and to showcase local bands, singers and entertainers.

Taking place between 3pm and 9pm, the musical line-up includes Alcester Rock Academy, The Pleasuredome, Jack Blackman, Anya Sweeney, Aran Woodger and Jim and Sal.

The barbecue and bar will be open throughout, and there will be plenty to keep youngsters entertained too – from storytelling with Kate’s Storytree to circus skills sessions, arts and crafts, face painting, bouncy castle, tombola and other stalls.

Organiser Catherine Brereton said: “We’re so excited to be bringing Alne Fest back after postponing in 2020 and 2021 because of Covid. It’s a chance for the whole community to come together and enjoy an afternoon showcasing great local talent and creating a real summer festival vibe, knowing every penny raised will support the school and the children who go there.”

Advance tickets cost £8 for adults and £4 for children, with under 5s going free.
