Fun Palace plots another crafty takeover of Stratford

FUN Palaces is plotting yet another crafty takeover in Stratford.

The town is set to be transformed into a hub of creativity, culture and community spirit on Saturday October 4 for the return of the free, all day celebration of arts, sciences and heritage for all ages.

From interactive theatre-making to river-themed art installations, the Fun Palaces day promises a rich programme of hands-on activities, crafts, and live experiences.

Escape Arts, Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Warwickshire Libraries and Stratford Town Trust will each run their own Fun Palace on the same day at venues across the town.

A trail will be available so people can choose which sessions they’d like to go along to throughout the day.

Fran Nibbs, community hub manager at Stratford Town Trust said: “This Fun Palace is about Stratford coming together, sharing our talents and learning in a way that celebrates what makes our community shine. It is great to be running this in partnership with a range of wonderful local organisations. Most of all, it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
