FIREFIGHTS were called to a blaze in Long Marston after 200 tonnes of hay set alight.

The fire spread to four adjoining buildings next to a barn in the village on Friday (June 26).

A Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Our crews worked tirelessly throughout the night to tackle the blaze and stop it spreading further. Once out, crews remained on site damping down to ensure the fire was completely out.”
