A FAMILY returned from holiday to find their home badly damaged after a fire broke out.
Firefighters were called to the fire on Clopton Road, Stratford at around 3pm on Friday (September 11).
They discovered damage to the master bedroom but the fire was already out. The house was left black from fire and smoke damage.
An investigation discovered a magnifying mirror was the cause of the fire. It had directed sunlight directly onto the curtains which had set alight.
