Elderly man seriously injured after being hit by lorry in Stratford

AN ELDERLY pedestrian was seriously injured after being knocked down by a lorry in Alcester Road, Stratford.

The man, in his 80s, was hit by the lorry at around 10.15am on Friday (June 9) outside Double Tree Hilton Hotel and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Road closures were in place while emergency services were in attendance.

Warwickshire Police is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
