GREEN-minded residents in Stratford are gearing up for a week of events to shine the spotlight on climate change.
The Great Big Green Week is a national campaign to raise awareness of the urgent need for action on climate and nature.
And Stratfordians are being given the chance to do their bit by taking part in a host of events running from September 24 to October 2.
Over 20 environmental groups, organisations, businesses and charities are coming together in the town to create a week of activities for all the family, which aim to show local communities what they can do to tackle climate change and the destruction of the natural world.
Organised by Stratford Friends of the Earth, there will be wildlife walks, talks, foraging, taster sessions, fun days, trails and much more.
Warwickshire Wildlife Trust spokesperson, Ian Jelley, said: “I’m really excited about the sheer breadth of organisations focusing on this and the opportunity to collaborate.”
