TWO men involved in a crash near Shipston were lucky not to have suffered more serious injuries.

The smash between a small van and a car happened on the A429 in Tredington around 8.50am on Monday (February 22).

The van driver – believed to be in his 20s – was airlifted to University Hospital in Coventry with suspected pelvic and leg injuries.

A man in his 50s was driving the car and suffered minor injuries while a dog travelling in the boot was uninjured.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the men were fortunate not to have suffered more serious injuries considering the damage to their vehicles.
