Devoted brother limbers up for charity run

A LOVING brother whose life has been turned upside down since his sister was diagnosed with cancer is running Stratford’s Big 10k to raise cash for her, and others like her.

Mikey Dyke is limbering up to take part in the annual 10K run on September 4 in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust following his 20-year-old sister Jasmine being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Mickey said his life has completely changed since his sister’s diagnosis in May this year and he was moved to do something to support her.

He continued: “Jasmine had just started a new phase of her life by starting her own independent nail business, and now she has to put her life on hold for chemotherapy treatment.

“I want to support my sister while raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, which helps young people aged 13 to 24 with cancer, which is a time in your life that is hard enough without battling a horrible disease.”

Mickey set up a GoFundMe page with a fundraising goal of £500, which has already been exceeded. The total currently stands at £1365 and rising.
