Community litter pick to clean up Stratford town centre

STRATFORD’S answer to the Wombles are being called to get litter picking for Great British Spring Clean Week.

A community litter pick is taking place across the town on Saturday March 22 from 10am until 12pm.

Volunteers of all ages are invited to come together and help clean up the parks, streets, and public spaces.

The event is part of Keep Britain Tidy campaign’s ‘Great British Spring Clean’.

One litter pick will start from Stratford Town Trust Community Hub at Venture House, and another from Stratford Methodist Church in Old Town.

Volunteers will be provided with gloves, rubbish bags, and other necessary equipment. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear.

Stratford Town Trust Community Hub Manager Fran Nibbs said: “We are thrilled to organise this community-wide effort to keep our environment clean and safe for everyone. Events like this not only help improve our surroundings but also bring people together to work towards a common goal.”
