Classic Ibiza at Ragley Hall to raise funds for The Shakespeare Hospice

Stratford Editorial 18th Jan, 2024   0

THIS summer’s Classic Ibiza at Ragley Hall will be raising even more funds for The Shakespeare Hospice.

The family-friendly concert returns to the grounds of the historic house near Alcester on Saturday July 6, promising over five hours of Balearic-infused dance music headlined by the 32-piece Urban Soul Orchestra.

And for the third year running the dancetastic event is teaming up with The Shakespeare Hospice to help raise funds for the vital work it does in the area.

The hospice, based in Shottery, provides care and support to patients, their carers and loved ones, affected by life-limiting conditions.

Hospice spokesperson Karen Davies said: “We are delighted to be welcomed back as the charity of choice for Classic Ibiza for the third year running. Last year’s event raised an incredible £6,000 for The Shakespeare Hospice and we hope to raise even more at this year’s event.

“The money raised will go a long way in helping us provide vital palliative and end of life care throughout south Warwickshire. On behalf of all of the staff and patients at The Shakespeare Hospice, we offer our sincerest thanks to the Classic Ibiza team for their continued support.”

Classic Ibiza raised a grand total of £21,000 from last summer’s tour and aims to raise even more funds for the local charities it is partnering with in 2024.

Classic Ibiza’s spokesperson Lisa Ward added: “For the first time, we’re giving our Ragley audience the option of donating to The Shakespeare Hospice when they purchase tickets from our website. Helping Classic Ibiza concertgoers to keep costs down is important to us, so unlike many promoters we don’t charge for parking and allow our guests to bring their own food and drink to our shows. If people can donate a fraction of these savings, I’m confident we can surpass last year’s total, assisting The Shakespeare Hospice to continue the incredible work it does.”
