TOP broadcaster Clare Balding joined residents from Great Alne Park for a ramble around the village as part of a Radio 4 podcast.
Clare joined five residents for a four mile walk around the grounds of the retirement village and surrounding area for Radio 4’s Ramblings podcast.
The walkers chatted to Clare about their lives and what it is like living in a retirement village.
Great Alne Park was chosen due to its parkland surroundings and interesting later living concept that places a huge focus on resident wellbeing.
Lawrence Cramer from Inspired Villages said: “The residents thoroughly enjoyed showing Clare around their neck of the woods and some of the magnificent Warwickshire countryside that surrounds the village.
“It was a great opportunity to show off the village, its location and facilities, but most of all the community spirit that the village embodies.
“At Inspired Villages, our ethos is centred around improving residents’ holistic wellbeing and helping them to live better for longer. Getting out and about into the countryside is a great way to boost both your physical and mental wellbeing and we hope Clare’s insightful episode of Ramblings alongside our residents encourage more people to get out and about.”
