Christchurch Gardens in Leamington gets a spring clean

LITTER pickers turned out en masse to tidy up Top Park in Leamington ready for spring.

The Friends of Christchurch Gardens organised the litter pick on Saturday February 11, which resulted in several bags of rubbish being collected.

Friends chair Alison Chantrey thanked everyone for their participation.

She added: “The Gardens are looking lovely in their early spring splendour and proved largely litter-free. It just goes to show that when the Gardens are clean and inviting, the public appreciates them, are generally respectful and less inclined to drop litter.”

Coffee and biscuits were generously provided by Holy Trinity Church.

The next litter pick takes place on Saturday April 1 from 11am until noon. Everyone is welcome.
