A BUMPER week of food drives is geared at boosting Stratford Foodbank’s shelves.
There will be three food drive events in the town next week and residents are being called on to offer their support.
Customers are being invited to donate to the all-day in-store food collection at Morrisons on Alcester Road on Tuesday (July 18).
Another all-day food collection will take place at Tesco on Birmingham Road on Wednesday (July 19).
And Stratford Girls’ Grammar School is running a house competition and asking their pupils to bring a food item to school on Thursday (July 20).
In the last year, food banks in the Trussell Trust network distributed nearly three million emergency food parcels across the UK, with 4,332 food parcels being distributed in the Stratford area in the year ending March 2023.
