Alleged assault sees elderly dog walker hit by car

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault which saw an elderly dog walker get hit by a car.

The man in his 70s was walking his dog on Tuesday May 23 when he crossed the road at the junction of Joseph Way and Birmingham Road.

He reported being hit by a white Ssangyong Rodius car and an altercation then taking place between himself and the driver.

There were no injuries following the incident.




The driver is described as wearing a blue t-shirt and was of a medium build.

Sgt Simon Ryan from Warwickshire Police said: “As part of our on-going investigation we are trying to establish the circumstances that lead up to the incident.


“I am appealing to anyone who had been driving along the Birmingham Road prior to the incident, or had been in the area at the time to come forward.”
