BEVERLEY Knight, Will Young, Craig David, Train and Squeeze have been added to the bill of The Warwick Sessions this summer.
Beverley and Will will take to the stage in St Nicholas Park, in the shadow of Warwick Castle, on Thursday July 3.
Beverley is the queen of British Soul music. In a career spanning over two decades she has achieved gold and platinum-selling albums, sold out tours, 14 Top 40 hits, three MOBO awards as well as multiple Brit Award and Mercury prize nominations.
She has also appeared on the West End stage in musicals Memphis and The Bodyguard.
In a career spanning more than 20 years since his Pop Idol win, Will has hit the Top 5 with all nine of his albums, including four chart-tppers. He has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, and picked up two BRIT Awards, an Ivor Novello, and an Olivier nomination for Cabaret.
San Franciscan pop-rockers Train will top the bill at on Wednesday July 2, alongside special guests Squeeze.
Train, whose hits include Drops of Jupiter, Hey, Soul Sister and Drive By, have sold more than 10 million albums.
New wave legends Squeeze, built on the songwriting partnership of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, have enjoyed a string of hits with classics such as Cool For Cats, Up the Junction and Pulling Mussels (From The Shell).
Craig David will bring his TS5 party to town on Saturday July 5, featuring a DJ set combining old skool anthems from R&B to Swing beat to Garage, while also merging current House hits.
During his solo career, Craig has sold more than 15 million albums, enjoying 14 Top 10 hits and achieving multi-platinum status in more than 20 countries.
They join previously announced headliners The Stranglers (Friday July 4), who will be joined by The Buzzcocks and The Skids, and Elbow (Sunday July 6).
Formed in 1974, The Stranglers enjoyed chart success from their earliest punk days with singles such as Peaches, No More Heroes and Walk On By and further success followed with the likes of Always The Sun, Strange Little Girl and Golden Brown.
Mercury Prize winners elbow rose to public consciousness with their acclaimed 2001 debut album Asleep in the Back. Named Best British Band at the BRITS in 2010 and having been awarded three Ivor Novello Awards for their songwriting, they were also the creators of ‘First Steps’, the 2012 BBC Olympic theme, and performed at the closing ceremony at the Olympic Stadium in London.
