Volunteers tot up total of 120 years organising school fete

Stratford Editorial 23rd Jun, 2017   0

SCHOOL fete volunteers have totted up an impressive total of 120 years experience between them.

Hilary Williams, Hilary Thompson, Sarah Lawton, Fiona Wilson and Sarah Irwin make up the successful team of organisers for the long-running fete at Moreton Morrell school.

This year it will be held on the school fields on Saturday July 1 from 1pm to 4pm.

New to the event is a bike obstacle course and a dog training class.

And the usual fete attractions will include a bouncy castle, face painting, a tug of war and a barbecue and bar.

School fundraiser Lindsay Hughes-Webb said: “Every penny raised at the fete will be used to buy new equipment for the school and raise money for the church. We work hard to ensure this will be a fantastic afternoon of fun for all the family.”
