New Shakespeare 'destination cafe' prepares to open its doors

Stratford Editorial 25th Oct, 2019   0

A SHAKESPEARE-themed restaurant is preparing to welcome tourists and residents in Stratford.

Will’s Kitchen – a ‘destination cafe’ and restaurant located opposite the Bard’s childhood home in Henley Street – will open on Monday (October 28).

The venue is part of a joint project by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and Stratford District Council for a major visitor-friendly facelift of Stratford’s most famous street.

The cafe venue – which will serve up fresh, locally sourced, seasonal food – will also be a hub for cultural activities including music and drama performances, poetry open mic events, book clubs, exhibitions and workshops.

Trust members will be dishing out some freebies on the first day including free eco-cups with a hot drink as well as discount vouchers.
