COVENTRY Motocross Club (CJMX) holds its third annual charity event in Stratford this weekend (May 10 and 11) raising money for Cancer Research and Myton Hospice.

The event was set up in memory of the former long serving Club Chairman Dave George, who passed away from cancer. Last year the event helped raise almost £5,000 for the two charities which cared for Dave during his illness.

The Dave George Memorial Cup sees riders from across the country compete in classes from six years of age on 50CC auto bikes, through to 65 years on unlimited capacity machines.

There will be non-stop racing each day and opportunity to meet daredevil riders, walk in the pit area and see the various makes and models of bikes.

There will be live music, entertainment, food and bar area, and also entertainment for children.

As with all CJMX race meetings the entrance is free but all donations raised through the various stalls and activities will go to the two charities.

The event is at at Bordon Hill, on the B439 Evesham Road, from 9.30am to 6pm each days.
