GIRL power combined with health and beauty advice was the perfect cocktail for a fun-filled ladies day at Hoar Cross Hall.

The beautiful Grade II listed spa hotel, nestled in the Staffordshire countryside, recently hosted the girls-only event with healthy eating chef Sally Bee.

Sally, who hails from Stratford, is an inspirational character – surviving three heart attacks in a week when she was just 36-years-old.

The mum-of-three, who is now 49, overhauled her diet and lifestyle and is now a regular healthy eating coach on tv show Lorraine.

Sally also recently opened her first restaurant ‘Nutrilicious’ at Hoar Cross – which I can say first hand is definitely worth a trip – and it is her collaboration with the stately home which led to her hosting her first Ladies Day.

She was joined by fitness coach Maxine Berry, and together the pair are unstoppable, combining contagious energy, good-natured banter and friendly advice to create a fun, light-hearted event.

The hundred-or-so ladies and children enjoyed having their hair styled and nails manicured before receiving some top tips from Sally and Maxine.

Sally showed us how to create a perfect balanced meal, without skimping on flavour and freshness, and Maxine performed some of her high-energy workouts before the pair held a question and answer session.

Three lucky ladies even had the chance to undergo complete Lorraine-style tv makeovers, with astonishing results.

One of the most memorable moments of the day was when Sally opened up about her health battles. She even shared her emotional trauma through hair loss caused by medication. It struck a cord with many in the audience and her positivity is something I am sure will resonate for a lot of people.

The day had very much a relaxed, girly-vibe and a chance for mums, daughters and whole families to enjoy a day out doing something different.

Hoar Cross hosts many best-selling events, but if you’re looking for a weekend of relaxation and pampering they really have it down to a fine art.

The rooms are immaculate and decadent, and the spa isn’t your run-of-the-mill sauna, hot tub and jacuzzi either.

There’s spa experiences such as aromatherapy rooms, salt steam rooms, a detox ritual and even a relaxing secret ‘cave’ in the pool.

Whether you’re going to enjoy one of the hotel’s fun days, for an overnight break or to sample Sally Bee’s restaurant, Hoar Cross is worth the trip.
