HISTORIC Coughton Court will be going prehistoric – for one night only.
The National Trust stately home near Alcester will be hosting a performance of The Lost World on Saturday August 19.
Touring theatre company Illyria present Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic in Coughton’s gardens complete with life-size dinosaurs.
Four intrepid explorers travel to an uncharted plateau in South America where they find flora and fauna beyond their wildest dreams, become involved in tribal warfare between apemen and indigenous humans, and encounter terrifying dinosaurs previously believed to be extinct.
But what evidence can they produce to prove that these creatures actually exist? Unless, of course, they bring live specimens back to London. What could possibly go wrong?
Recommended for older children and families, audiences are welcome to bring a picnic.
