THIS EASTER The Magic Alley Detective Agency presents The Case of the Disappearing Dragon Egg…
Set within Magic Alley’s existing attraction theme right on our doorstep in Stratford-upon-Avon, this experience challenges aspiring detectives to decode a mystery to determine what has happened to Erek’s dragon egg.
Six of the characters from Witchcraft and Wizardry, The Alchemist, The Fortune Teller, The Magician, The Professor of Magical Creatures, The Professor of Potions and The Sorceress are all suspects in the theft of one the dragon eggs taken from Erek’s secret nest. The six suspects will need to be eliminated by solving clues to determine whether they are responsible for the theft and if so the motive for the crime.
The Chief of Detectives has decided not to tell the aspiring detectives the location of the crime scene in order to test their deductive reasoning skills. As a result the detectives have the task of determining the location of the crime scene as well as revealing the potential thief.
Over the Easter holidays this event will incorporate an egg hunt. The egg hunt has been added as to a way to involve younger siblings who may come along with older siblings or friends so that they can have something to focus on. Magic Alley is largely geared towards slightly older children but during certain school holidays they do like to encourage younger ones to join in. After all you are never too young to learn to love puzzles!
On certain dates there will be a performer to assist you, it may be one of our detectives, it may be a witness or even one of the suspects. Part of your challenge will be to interrogate them to see what additional information you can find out! The level of information you gather will depend entirely on the extent to which you question our suspects and for those who don’t enjoy such participation it is possible to do the quest without doing this and we do have some non performer days.
Sam Jenkins, Head of Events, said:
“Many people like the idea of becoming a detective and solving a crime so it seemed perfect to incorporate a whodunit over Easter. We hope that this will encourage people to visit Magic Alley who may not have visited us before.”
Sam explained that:
“We have lowered the price on some dates including Easter Sunday as we appreciate how difficult is in for families to afford days out at the moment alongside everything else”.
The event is recommended for children over 6 years old but younger siblings over 4 are welcome.
Everyone who successfully completes the quest will receive a prize and a certificate.
Tickets can be booked in advance at http://www.magicalleystratford.com/events and pre booking is advised for weekends and school holidays.

Remember as well as being a magical attraction Magic Alley includes a large retail emporium. The emporium sells everything from magic spells and steampunk figurines, to incense, candles, puzzles, quirky books, board games and curious gifts.
There are fairies and fairy houses, unicorns and dragons; vintage toys and games and crystals. With gifts to suit every pocket we have something for everyone and make the perfect gift shop for the person who is particularly difficult to buy for!
