Stratford council chiefs ask for views on four-year plan

Stratford Editorial 26th Sep, 2023   0

RESIDENTS and businesses across Stratford district are being asked to help create a council plan.

The plan will be in place for the next four years and residents, local businesses, parish and town councils, and voluntary groups are being given the chance to help create this new plan, as Stratford District Council begins a consultation.

SDC leader Coun Susan Juned said: “Since the elections in May, the district council has been working on the plan that will govern the actions we need to take in the next four years.

“We have worked with key stakeholders to produce a vision of the challenges the council needs to address if we are to deliver a better future for residents, communities, and businesses in the district.

“The views of our residents are important in setting this long-term vision. This is your opportunity to take part in this consultation and I would encourage you to have your say.”

The draft council plan is now out for consultation and residents and businesses are invited to complete the questionnaire on SDC’s website at https://online1.snapsurveys.com/councilplan

Paper copies are available on request by emailing [email protected], telephoning 01789 267575 or in person at the council offices in Stratford.

The consultation runs until Tuesday October 24.

The aim is to have the strategy ready for formal approval by the cabinet and full council by December.
