LEGENDARY football manager Arsène Wenger has recorded a video message offering his condolences to Cody Fisher’s family and Stratford Town Football Club.

The 73-year-old Frenchman posted the video message on Twitter and expressed his condolences to Fisher’s family after the defender was tragically stabbed to death at a Digbeth nightclub on Boxing Day last year.

And Wenger, who guided Arsenal to three Premier League titles and seven FA Cup triumphs, also offered his full support to Stratford Town.

Stratford have retired the club’s number 23 shirt in Cody’s memory and held tributes for the defender throughout their first league game following his death.

The club have also launched the Cody23 Community Fund in Fisher’s memory which enables young adults of all backgrounds to obtain coaching or refereeing qualifications to support schools and the local community.

Additionally, thousands of people have signed the ‘Cody’s Law’ petition which seeks to make metal detectors and bleed kits a lawful requirement for clubs and event venues.

Wenger’s video message is one of many tributes that has been made to the much-loved defender.
