Stratford's first dedicated refill shop forced to close

A HEAVY-hearted business-owner has been forced to close Stratford’s first dedicated zero-waste shop.

Environmentalist Natasha Wicks launched The Refill Box in the throes of the pandemic, in April 2020.

While initially positive about the business, Natasha whose co-consciousness stems from a childhood spent litter-picking on the beach and conducting river clean-ups, has finally been forced to close the Shrieves Walk store.

The business-owner announced the closure on Facebook. The post read: “It is with such a heavy heart that I’m writing this post.

“Over the last 12-plus months, I have received so much love and support from the local community, and I’m so glad I was able to help all of you on your eco-friendly journeys!

“Sadly, due to the effects of Covid and other difficulties, we now need to close our little store.”

The store will be open for a final time on Saturday July 24 when remaining stock will be sold with 30 per cent off.
