ALCESTER RFC players and members are buzzing with excitement after finally announcing dates for the return of rugby at the club.
Following the government’s route out of lockdown and further advice from the RFU, grassroots rugby can look to restart.
Senior Alcester training will restart from 7pm on Thursday, April 1 and the junior section will return on Sunday, April 4, with staggered starting times for different age grades.
The Kings Coughton clubhouse will be open to provide toilet facilities but unfortunately the bar, changing rooms and showers will remain closed until latter stages of lockdown easing.
Subject to no changes in government policy, the bar will be able to reopen and provide an outside table service from April 12 and inside table service from May 17.
Further updates will follow when these changes take place.
