Stratford Editorial 10th Jun, 2019   0

A MURDER mystery, open air theatre and a medieval fashion show are among a string of summer events at the Shakespeare family homes this summer.

The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is hosting the activities which include Tudor fairytales and bread making at Mary Arden’s Farm, ale sampling at Shakespeare’s Birthplace, a murder mystery evening at New Place, insights into Jacobean fashion and herbal medicine at Hall’s Croft and specialist talks including on 17th century sign-language.

Spokeswoman Ruth Warner said: “There are many ways to learn about William Shakespeare and his family, and our summer programme of events offers something for everyone, whether you want to relax and enjoy an open-air performance of one of his plays in the grounds of one of the historic family homes, learn about traditional celebrations in the Tudor calendar, or get an insight into some of the rarely seen items in our internationally recognised collections.”
