STRATFORD Town will play their football at the newly-titled Arden Garages Stadium this season.
The club this week announced a new sponsorship agreement with the Stratford-based motor business which will see their Knights Lane ground renamed the Arden Garages Stadium.
The firm has worked with Stratford previously, having been the shirt sponsor.
Arden Garages managing director David Titchmarsh marked the agreement by officially opening the newly-named ground before Tuesday’s friendly against Sutton Coldfield Town.
Arden Garages takes over from MoodChimp, whose 12-month deal ended earlier this month, and previously DCS as stadium sponors.
Meanwhile, Town continue their preparation for the new Southern Premier Central season on Saturday with a trip to Bromsgrove to face Midland Premier side Worcester City, who share Sporting’s ground.
Manager Darren Byfield will be hoping to cut down the goals-against column after the team has kept only one clean sheet in their six warm-up matches so far.
Town went down 3-2 to Sutton, with Nabil Shariff continuing his goalscoring efforts with the first goal to equalise before Mike Taylor netted from Edwin Ahenkorah’s cross late on for a consolation effort.
Meanwhile, Town’s U18s will be on the road for the opening round of the FA Youth Cup.
The youth side will be away to Alvechurch in the preliminary round, with the tie scheduled to be played in the week beginning Monday, September 3.
A home tie in the first qualifying round against Bromsgrove Sporting or Haughmond awaits the winners.
