Stratford Editorial 18th Jun, 2017   0

AN ORGANISATION described as ‘a social club with a conscience’ has welcomed a new chairman.

Rob Iles will take the reins for Alcester & Stratford District Round Table this year with Nathan Rosewell stepping up as vice chairman.

Rob, who owns Avonlea guest house in Stratford, will be working with members to support the community through Round Table’s charity events.

The club which includes men aged 18 to 45, aims to raise money for charity while enjoying social events including bell boating, axe throwing, fire spinning and the Santa Sleigh at Christmas.

Rob, who hopes to raise 10,000 this year, said: “Since I joined Alcester & Stratford District Round Table I have gained a group of friends who all have the same aims in Round Table – to have fun whilst giving back to the community we live in.”

Follow the club on Twitter @AlcesterRT or on Facebook to find out more.
