Visitors to Stratford Butterfly Farm can finally snap a real live Pokemon

Stratford Editorial 5th Apr, 2017   0

THE LEAF-CUTTER ants at Stratford Butterfly Farm will be working as hard as ever over Easter.

So they probably will not notice the many new residents at the Swan’s Nest Lane attraction.

They include Axolotl – a Mexican salamander also known as a Mexican Walking Fish- which younger visitors might recognise as Wooper of Pokemon fame.

Other new arrivals to the Minibeast Metropolis include an African Orange Baboon Tarantula, a Pumpkin Patch Tarantula and a number of Sungazer lizards.

Meet the Minibeast’ handling sessions run from April 10 to 21, offering braver visitors the chance to hold stick insects, giant snails, millipedes, and even Madagascan cockroaches.
