A TEENAGER from Stratford wowed the judges on the BBC’s ‘Let It Shine’ to make it through to the next round of the competition.

Harry Brown appeared on the show on January 21 where he auditioned in front of the judging panel made up of Gary Barlow, Dannii Minogue, Amber Riley and Martin Kemp.

The 17-year-old performed an acoustic version of Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’ in his attempt to make it through to the next stage of the talent search.

Five successful contestants from the show will join the cast of a new stage show based on the music by Take That.

To make it through to the next stage of the Saturday night show the contestants must score 15 stars or more, but after impressing the judges with his performance, Harry was awarded 17 stars to continue his journey.

Speaking to the Observer, Harry said: “I auditioned for Let It Shine because me and my school friends saw adverts and discussed auditioning.

“It instantly stuck out to me as a great opportunity and I didn’t hesitate to take it. We ended up going along together and I was lucky enough to be offered an audition in front of the judges.

“My experience with Let It Shine has been incredible, I have learned so much from the show and those surrounding me.

Harry currently attends Birmingham Ormiston Academy where he studies musical theatre.
