Bag a bargain this Christmas, shoppers urged

FESTIVE shoppers in the district are being urged to consider buying green this Christmas.

They are being invited to forsake the high street hustle and bustle, and instead bag a gift bargain at their local recycling centre.

Age UK Warwickshire (AUKW) is looking forward to a brisk pre-Christmas trade at its recycling centre re-use shops – three of which are located in Stratford district.

Affordable, quality goods ‘too good to tip’ are on sale at the shops at Burton Farm in Bishopston, Wellesbourne and Shipston.

AUKW spokesman Graham Oliver said: “While browsing our books, toys and games, bric-a-brac, and electrical goods, you can also stock up on Christmas cards and wrapping paper.

“With prices generally mid-way between a car boot sale and a high street charity shop, we have plenty of ‘pre-loved’ bargains for the sustainably-minded. All proceeds from our shops go to support services for older people in Stratford and Warwickshire.”
