PARENTS and others will be on their marks for a race with a difference in Alcester.

The charity Pram Race will see prammer’s race pushchairs – and other non motorised entries – round a three mile course in aid of St Nicholas Church Restoration Fund and the Breakway Foundation – a group which specialises in helping children and families with bowel disorders enjoy a holiday or break away.

The event, which will be held on May 29, will start and finish at the town hall and will see all of Alcester’s pubs and clubs as checkpoints or ‘baby feed stations’.

Entry is £6.50 per person or £20 for teams of four or more.

All participants must be 14 years-old or over and those aged 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration will be open until 1.30pm on the day then the race starts 2.00pm.
