Public inquiry into 270 homes on Loxley Road

Stratford Editorial 6th Oct, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

A PUBLIC inquiry into plans to build 270 homes on land at Loxley Road in Stratford is set to begin next week.

An appeal has been made by developers Gallagher Estates, who were looking to develop on the land at Arden Heath Farm.

But although officers advised the scheme be given the green light, Stratford District Council’s planning committee refused permission in December last year over fears it would lead to increased traffic in the area.

A Government Planning Inspector is presiding over the inquiry, which will begin next Wednesday (October 14) from 10am at the council’s Elizabeth House offices.

The inquiry is expected to last up to six days and the public may attend and express their view at the discretion of the inspector.
