THE HARD work of pupils past and present was recognised at Stratford School’s awards evening.
Former students and current sixth formers attended the evening which celebrated their GCSE, AS and A Level achievements over the last year.
Some 150 awards were handed out for attainment and achievement by headteacher Neil Wallace.
He said: “It is a privilege to both honour the students for their considerable hard work but also to spend time with them afterwards to find out how they are progressing.
“The purpose of education is to ready students for the next stage of their life and it is gratifying to hear from them that they are happy in their new courses and careers.
“We’re especially proud that the achievements of our students at AS and A Level rank us in the top 25 per cent of schools/colleges nationally for sixth form achievement. Whilst this is very gratifying statistically, the reality is that it means our students are well placed for the next stage of their careers.”
