Fund-raisers feel the heat at hospice firewalk

Stratford Editorial 3rd Feb, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

BRAVE fund-raisers will be hot-footing it over burning coals in aid of The Shakespeare Hospice.

The hospice is once again holding its firewalk challenge – which they say is the hottest and shortest sponsored walk in the world.

Fund-raisers receive full training before completing the daring dash – set to be held at the Shottery-based hospice on Friday February 19.

But with embers burning at more than 1,200 degrees fahrenheit, the walk is sure to test nerves and resilience.

Entry costs £20 and participants are expected to raise at least £100 in sponsorship.
