SAM CHURCHILL scored twice to help Henley Forest defeat hosts FC Stratford HGC and move into second place in Stratford Alliance Division One.

Tom Byrom, Thomas Haley, David Tibbetts and Wayne Taylor also netted for Henley in a 6-1 win, with Oliver Priestley replying.

Henley trail leaders FC Wickhamford by three points after the latter swept aside hosts Bretforton Old Boys 6-0. Will Aspey led the way with a hat-trick and Leon Ballard, Ivan Masica and James Schembri were also on the scoresheet.

Champions Claverdon are up to third following a 4-2 win at Feckenham Reserves.




The Division Two title race is a two-horse battle, with both AFC Stratford Town and GSH United both chalking up comfortable away wins.

Sam Jalowiecki (2), Alfie Reaper and George Spilsbury were the scorers in leaders AFC’s 4-0 win at Shipston Excelsior Reserves, while Henley side GSH were 7-0 winners at basement side Blockley Sports, with Joe Shaw bagging four goals. Jack Bate, Elliot Wilson and Joseph Tolley were also on target.


AFC lead the way, three points clear but having played two more games than GSH who have won nine matches out of nine.

South Redditch Athletic lie third, a whopping 11 points behind GSH. Benjamin Higgins completed a hat-trick in their 5-1 home win against Tysoe United and Callum Towler and Ashna Powell also scored. Thomas Dyble replied.

Tim Lees and Oli Wilkins both scored twice in Inkberrow’s 6-1 win at home to FISSC Reserves. Daniel Bailey and Craig Wood added to the hosts’ tally, with Tom Lether getting one back for FISSC.
