GSH United survived a penalty shoot-out against AFC Stratford Town to book their place in the Stratford Alliance Nursing Home Cup quarter-finals against title rivals Henley Forest of Arden.

Fellow title-chasers South Redditch Athletic’s progress was much easier as they produced a 9-1 demolition of hosts Shottery United.

Stuart Hall scored twice for Redditch, who lie second in the table, with Aaron Brown, Gary Harvey, Logan Madden, Omar Pennicott and sub Sam Smith also on target. Matthew Allen bagged the goal for Division Two side Shottery.

South Redditch will now tackle FC Wickhamford in the last eight.

Sam Beddowes netted twice to seal FC Wickhamford’s 4-3 win against Shipston Excelsior Reserves. Sam Ford and James White were the other scorers for the Wicks, with Joshi Gibb (2) and Connor Grant on target for Shipston.

In Division Two, Inkberrow Academy bagged three second half goal to earn a 4-1 win at home to Shipston Excelsior Colts in their fourth versus fifth clash.

Stan Dube’s goal for Colts had made it 1-1 at half-time at Sands Road but Inkberrow took the points with goals from Liam Firkin, Samuel Steele, Sam White and sub Jack Hughes.
