A wet start to junior 14 training

Stratford Editorial 11th May, 2020   0

IT HAS been a busy week for Stratford Boat Club’s junior squad as they got back to school and a ‘normal’ routine – if anything can be called normal in the current climate!

The J14 squad kept their coaches and colleagues up to the mark with their training in the shape of their ‘pass the water’ challenge which was good fun and a reminder to all that sport is fun!

Steve Marsden, J14 lead coach, said: “Our athletes put their heart and soul into their training. Whilst we would have perhaps preferred to have been at Evesham and Wallingford regattas, we had a great time challenging each other to go that step further with our online games!”

Sam Hill, J14 coaching assistant, commented: “The lockdown period has shown us all we have great resources of resilience and we’re all convinced we’ll be bouncing back at the top of our game when the regatta season reopens.”
